Resident Portal | How to Submit an Application

Step by step instructions

Step 1: Invitation Email

When you've been invited by your landlord to apply for rental unit, you'll receive an email that looks like this:

The email will outline all of the information required to fill out your application, such as:

  • Proof of income
  • Proof of identity
  • Personal and/or landlord references
  • Current address
  • Occupation details
  • Payment details
These details will differ depending on your landlord, as some landlords may collect a deposit for your lease when approved. If you need clarification on the required, please contact the landlord.

Have all of the requested information ready to go, and click the Apply To Rent button to be sent to the application portal.

Step 2: Creating a Login

After clicking the link (if you don't already have an existing account) you will be taking to the following screen to create a password for your applicant account.

Create your password and click the Get Started button.

Step 3: Prepare required information

This will take you directly into your application. Ensure once again you have all of the information requested on this screen, and select the I've got it all ready - Let's do this! button on the bottom to the screen to continue.

Step 4: User Terms and Agreement

Please read this page in it's entirety an agree to it's conditions in order to continue applying. At the bottom of the terms, there is a checkbox. Click this to agree, and then select the Next button to continue applying.

Step 5: Lease Terms and Agreement

Verify the lease terms (start and end date, monthly rent, prorated amounts, pet policy, utilities, etc.) and then click the Looks Good To Me button to agree and continue. If this information is incorrect, contact your landlord.

Step 6: Inviting Applicants

If you have co-applicants (that will be included on the lease as a leaseholder) that are also applying to your unit, you may add them here.

First select yes on the checkbox and provide the co-applicant information.

Select the Add Co-Applicant button to open a form, and add their information in the Form.

Please indicate whether or not this co-applicant is a guarantor. A Guarantor is a co-signer on the lease.

Step 7: Adding Occupants

If you have occupants (residents under the age of 18, or will not be included as a leaseholder) that are also applying, add them here. Click yes to the prompt, and then click the Add Occupant button to bring up the form.

Enter the relevant information in the form, and click the Next button when you are done.

Step 8: Personal Information

On this page, enter your personal information and a photo of yourself (optional) to be sent to your landlord. Click the blank icon to add a photo, and select the other entries to enter the relevant information. Click the Next button when you are done to save your information.

Step 9: Reason For Moving

Use this page to give a reason for why you are moving, and if you have any additional details to inform the landlord about. Click the Next button to save your entries.

Step 10: Rapid Fire Questions

Complete this questionnaire to quickly inform the landlord of some quick answers to quick yes or no questions. Select either the yes or no check box to select your answer, and click the Next button to save your answers and continue.

Step 11: Pets

If you have any pets, select yes to the prompt and enter their information here by pressing the Add Pet button. When the information is complete, select the Next button.

Step 12: Vehicles

If you have any vehicles, select yes to the prompt and enter the relevant information by pressing the Add Vehicle button. When the information is complete, select the Next button.

Step 13: Current Residence

On this page, enter the address of your current residence, and declare whether you are a student or a working professional to be taken to the appropriate information form. Click the Next button to save your information and choice.

Step 14A: Student Form

If you selected student, you'll be presented with the student information form. Enter the relevant information and click the Next button to continue.

Step 14B: Working Form

If you selected working professional, you'll be presented with the working professional form. Enter the relevant information and click the Next button to continue.

Step 15: Prior Work Experience

Enter your previous work experience here by selecting the Yes checkbox and completing the form. Click the Next button to save your information.

Step 16: Previous Landlord

To declare previous landlords, select the Yes checkbox and click the Add Reference button to open the form. Enter the relevant information, and select the Next button to continue.

Step 17: References

For all reference forms, click the Add Reference button to create a new reference form. Enter the relevant information, and click the Next button to continue.

Step 18: Emergency Contact

Use the form to enter the information for your emergency contact. When done, click the Next button to continue. To add an additional Emergency Contact, click the Add Emergency Contact button.

Step 19: Income and ID

Use this form to submit your proof of income, and government identification. Click the Next button to continue.

After submitting this form, the application is complete.
